We have been having so much fun hosting gift exchanges within a sub-group of our main Facebook Group and are very excited about this Summer's Gift Exchange! It’s always so much fun to send AND receive goodies in the mail plus being able to connect with fellow Makers within our community just makes it extra special. To keep the fun flowing with our exchanges, we have a few rules so take a peek below!
Summer Exchange Sign-ups : July 1st - 14th
Sign up for the exchange right here! All participants will be charged a $5.00 non-refundable convenience fee for participating.
Exchange is open to all Makers worldwide as long as two or more people are participating within the same country/region. All skill levels are welcome to participate.
This is a gift exchange! Please assemble an adequate gift for your partner. Be creative and tailor your gift to person’s interests. Feel free to make your partner handmade items or share your favorite yarn! You can even send extra items like candy, extra yarn, crochet hooks, knitting needles. Create a gift YOU would love to receive! It always feels so good to light up someone’s day, especially in a specially curated gift package! **Please know you are responsible for all costs required to purchase materials, additional gifts and shipping costs.
Re-gifting items received from your secret partner is not allowed under any circumstances.
For all participants:
After you have paid for your convenience fee, please fill out the questionnaire available to download after purchase and email it to thn.exchange@gmail.com
The questionnaire is absolutely essential! Please fill it out and email it as soon as possible!
Once your questionnaire has been received and the sign up period has ended: you will be contacted by your designated admin. This admin will be your main contact for the exchange and can help answer any questions you may have as well as to help with the exchanging of information..
You will receive your partners name with some basic information after all participants have been confirmed.
This is a secret exchange, please do not reach out to your person! Admins are here to answer questions and help you!
All gifts must be approved by your designated admin. You must submit photo proof that you have created an adequate gift.
Please note that you must respond to admin emails with in 24 hours. You will be removed from the exchange if we do not receive a response within that time frame.
Shipping deadline : August 24th
Your admin must approve your gift prior to shipping.
You must send proof of shipping to your admin immediately afterwards. A picture of the receipt is required.
Here are some gift ideas. Please ensure that your gift is adequate, (don’t just make washcloths)
Blankets, pillows (inserts must be provided) wall hangings and other home dec items
Light cardigans, sweaters and tops (ensure that your sizing is correct before starting)
Light scarves, wraps, headbands or head wraps
Market bags or clutches
After you've signed up, you will be given a link to join our private THN Exchange Facebook group where you can connect with fellow participants, and possibly even your partner! If you’re not on Facebook, use #thngiftexchange, #thehooknookers and #thehooknook to share your progress and gifts and still be part of the conversation!
