Hey, everyone! I’m Jessica, the founder behind The Hook Nook, and I REALLY like to make pretty things. For the last several years I’ve gone from teaching myself to crochet, to selling my makes to friends and family, to opening an Etsy shop, to pattern designing and now I am so fortunate to have worked with some of the biggest brands and companies in the fiber industry from all around the world. YOU GUYS!!

The secret is out about my brand new collection of products in collaboration with my friends at American Crafts and now you can purchase at my SHOP!I AM SO STINKING EXCITED!!! Today I get to share with you TWO fun projects you can make using my new Main Squeeze yarn and, I’ve gotta say, I’m pretty stoked on these designs. <3

It was important to me to design something that was approachable to most crocheters, but also was super fun to create. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that the set makes for a FANTASTIC holiday gift idea, or market stock. So, without further adieu, meet my newest babies - Perfectly Puff Beanie and Perfectly Puff Cowl! And just look at that color - so so deliciously pigmented. Main Squeeze yarn is going to become, well, your main squeeze.

NOTES :

When beginning a new round, remember to alternate your placement of your first puff stitch. This will allow your seam to remain straight instead of slanting at an angle.

BEANIE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

Lay your beanie down with your seam in the center. Insert your hook through the same space as your last Sl St and through to the other side of the beanie as well. Sl St these two sides together. This should create two “petals” on either side of the Sl St. Fold the center of each “petal” to the center and slip stitch them together as well. You should have four “petals” at this point. Repeat the same process again, bringing in the center of two of those four “petals” to the center and Sl St them together. Repeat with the other two of the four “petals”. You should have eight “petals”. Now, working from “petal” to “petal”, Sl St them together as you work in a circle. After Sl St’ing all eight “petals”, Sl St to the first section to close up this circle.
