Can you believe it is already OCTOBER?! Dude, this is crazy.
Anyway, the chaos of life has sure been a theme for this year and as we approach the holiday season, I want to encourage each of you to take a step back and give yourself some moments to decompress and simply breathe. For many of us those moments are often found during creative endeavors and experiences. Have you noticed that when you are doing something that you are passionate about, you are able to disconnect from the chaos, even if only momentarily.
For me, while I crochet, I notice that as my hands are enjoying muscle memory in the stitch work, my mind enjoys the freedom for exploration and "unraveling". I am able to process life as it is happening around me, progress in healing traumas, and simply have the world pause so I can exhale for a second.
Crochet has been such a monumental aspect of my life when it comes to healing, being proud of myself and prioritizing self care.
