Hey, everyone! I’m Jessica, the founder behind The Hook Nook, and I REALLY like to make pretty things. For the last several years I’ve gone from teaching myself to crochet, to selling my makes to friends and family, to opening an Etsy shop, to pattern designing and now I am so fortunate to have worked with some of the biggest brands and companies in the fiber industry from all around the world. You can now find my own The Hook Nook brand designer crochet hooks, yarn and craft accessories at in my online shop and at various retailers!

THE TIME HAS COME!!!

Okay, okay, OKAY!!!! Every year after Christmas JOANN Stores hosts a dedicated sale on their entire yarn selection and every year I am HERE for it. As excited has building and the hours spent at home have increased and the scrumptious comfort of cozy has been enjoyed, I decided to help give you an idea for one of my favorite discounts they're having because it's kiiiiiiiiinda a big deal.

There are MANY different discounts on the various brands and types of yarn happening now through January at JOANN, but the one I'm most excited about is being able to get Bernat Blanket Extra for only $6.99 (normally $10.99!) because this yarn is absolutely unreal. If you've never worked with jumbo size yarn before, you're about to be all kinds of inspired to try after today! With a large hook and large yarn, projects work up magically fast. This blanket I'm sharing about today.. I made it in only a day. Yeah.. so who wants to get started on the softest and more squishiest DIY crochet project that can be worked up in a weekend?! MEEEE!!!!!

The blanket I'm sharing with you today used five skeins of Bernat Blanket Extra yarn. Each skein includes 97 yards making the total yardage for this blanket a mild 485 and creates a perfectly oversized couch throw-size beauty. Normally this project would cost $54.95 before sales tax, but during this outrageous sale, you can get everything to make your next favorite thing for only $34.95 (before sales tax). Guys, that's wayyyyy cheaper than what you'd find a finished blanket like this for at a retail store!! DO NOT MISS THIS!!!

I always love to find ways to use the jumbo crochet hooks from The Hook Nook Collection and today it's time for my 25mm hook to take the stage and show off. Back in November 2019 I finally launched my own brand of products that include items such as yarn, crochet hooks, project labels, knitting looms, and a bunch of BRAND NEW accessories I'm stoked to introduce to the market. You can learn more about my line of products in this blog post and everything about all of my yarns in this blog post!! Best part? You can purchase everything in my shop!!
