DIY Crochet Faux Furry Floor Pouf Pattern

Patterns/DIY
10/14/2019

Hey, friends!!

Last month I shared the most delicious Fur-osty Scarf pattern using Lion Brand Go For Faux Thick & Quick yarn, and this month and I’m using the same stuff, but coming in hot with something completely different!!

I don’t know about you, but as the seasons change, so does my need to change up my home decor. As the chill starts to set in the air and the fireplace gets started for the first time this season, I’m SO inspired by all things cozy. I mean, come on.. Fall IS the best season of the year, amiright?!

This month I am so excited to be working with my friends at JOANN Stores again to bring you a super duper easy and beginner-friendly DIY floor pouf project that you can get done in the same amount of time as it takes to pick out one online.. Not even joking. You get to use your 25mm crochet hook, the thickest, most scrumptious fluffy yarn and get the near-instant satisfaction of  completing a project in record time. Plus, you can make two, stack them up, and use it as a gorgeous foot ottoman! Win!

Take a peek at my new Fluffy Floor Pouf Cushion crochet pattern and get started on one (or several!) for yourself! My kids have already claimed them as their own and are SO obsessed with how soft and cozy it is!!

Let’s do this!

Fluffy Floor Pouf Cushion - crochet pattern

Yarn : 170 yds Lion Brand Go For Faux Thick & Quick

                         (jumbo, wt 7 / 100% polyester)

KEY

sts : stitches

GAUGE : 4 sts x 2 rows = 4”x4” in HDC

DIMENSIONS: 19” x 17” x 7”

NOTES :

CH 1 does not count as a stitch through entirety of pattern.

BEANIE PATTERN :

CH 7

  1. Starting in 2nd CH from hook, HDC in each CH across. (6)
  2. CH 1, turn. HDC in each st across. (6)
  3. Repeat Step 2 until your piece measures approximately 44”.
  4. CH 1. Fold your piece in half, connecting both short ends. Sl St both ends together to seam them. When you reach the end of the row, CH 1 and evenly Sl St (or weave the yarn) across to seam one side.
  5. Place both foam blocks on top of one another, lining them up properly. Slide blocks into “sleeve” and seam up the last side by weaving the yarn through both ends. When you reach the end, knot your working strand, finish off, and weave in all ends.

Now that you’ve got your cozy new Fluffy Floor Pillow Cushion (or several..), go take a break and read a chapter of a new book while cuddling up with it! I really, REALLY enjoyed working with Lion Brand Go For Faux Thick & Quick. But, honestly, that 25mm hook is the icing on the cake!
