Hey, everyone! I’m Jessica, the founder behind The Hook Nook, and I REALLY like to make pretty things. For the last several years I’ve gone from teaching myself to crochet, to selling my makes to friends and family, to opening an Etsy shop, to pattern designing and now I am so fortunate to have worked with some of the biggest brands and companies in the fiber industry from all around the world. You can now find my own The Hook Nook brand designer crochet hooks, yarn and craft accessories at in my online shop and at various retailers!

Friends!!

We are finally escaping the throes of the holiday season and, I don’t know about you, but I’m finding myself in intermittent moments of still feeling overwhelmed. Don’t get me wrong, I am beyond grateful for all of the wonderful things my family and I are doing together and all of the important people in our life we are making the effort to see, but the need for a few moments to decompress is happening often.

I wanted to work on something that was quick to work up and something I could make to gift to others, but also something that gave me a purpose to sit down for a moment and “unravel”, myself. I decided to make a bunch of coasters in a bunch of different colors from my new The Hook Nook Collection yarn. I used The Hook Nook Small Stuff yarn and my new designer crochet hooks. I also used my new Ends Weaver to weave in all of my ends!!

You could easily make these in sets of four and offer them as gifts to friends and family. I also love to make these as little moments to curate moments in my day for creativity and end with an intentional item that I can use within my home as we prepare to set foot into this new decade. Intention is something I want to put focus on again and these little coasters are a wonderful way to implement that.

(Speaking of The Hook Nook Collection, have you seen everything yet?? Check out all the goodies in my shop right HERE.
