I am so excited to be back on The Hook Nook Blog to publish my FIRST pattern of the New Year that also uses the brand new The Hook Nook Products!!! What a way to kick off 2020, this year is going to rock! If you like fast, fun and satisfying projects then the Cora Color Block Scarf is for YOU!!! Made using four colors of The Hook Nook Yummy Yarn, a #5 Bulky Weight, this scarf works up quick and will be oh so cozy!

11 sts x 8 rows in hdc is 4” x 4”

Key

Chain Stitch - ch / Slip Stitch - Sl St / Single Crochet - sc / Half Double Crochet – hdc

Foundation Half Double Crochet – Fhdc – Chain 3, yarn over, insert hook into 3rd chain from hook, yarn over and pull up loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over, pull through 1 loop on hook (3 loops on hook), yarn over and pull through all loops, (1 foundation double crochet with chain at bottom) *Yarn over, insert hook to bottom of the stitch you just made. It will look like the top or “V” of a stitch. Yarn over and pull up loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over, pull through 1 loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over and pull through all loops.

Bobble Stitch – bo - Yarn over, insert hook in next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two loops (2 loops on hook) *yarn over, insert hook in same stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two loops (3 loops on hook) repeat from * two more times to have 5 loops on hook, yarn over, and draw through all loops on hook. Continue to next stitch.

Notes

One Size – 12” x 92” – You can easily shorten this scarf if you would like by taking an even number of stitches out of the sections for Color B and C.

Be very mindful of your tension when you switch from hdc to sc, some pinching in on the sc section may occur. You can easily block this out.

* Designates a repeat.
