Coastal Shores Sweater Crochet Pattern

Maker
6/25/2019

Hi Hook Nookers! I’m Grace, the creator behind For the Frills, a crochet blog, and I’m so excited to share my newest crochet pattern with you!

As a long time maker, I’ve dabbled in all sorts of arts and crafts from water colours to calligraphy to embroidery, but when I started crochet designing this year I felt like I’d finally found my ‘thing’! I love dreaming up designs, making them come to life and then the best part is seeing all of your lovely creations!

The Coastal Shores Sweater is designed as a light layer to wear on breezy summer days, out boating or when you’re at the beach. It’s made from 100% cotton yarn that’s thin and light weight so it’s super versatile and it works as a wonderful cover up over a swimsuit! This pullover is created by seaming 4 panels together to create a loose, boat neck, long-sleeve crochet sweater. The Coastal Shores Sweater uses a range of simple stitches and chains to create an airy and light garment that’s perfect of warmer weather!

Assembly

Lay the 2 body panels on a flat surface with the right side facing up. Sew 15cm/6” from each side towards the middle (You can sew more/less depending on how large you want your neck hole to be).

Fold you sleeves in half and line the crease up with the middle of the body panels. Sew the sleeves on to the body panel.

Fold the sweater in half and sew down the side of the sleeves and body portion of the sweater.

Weave in all of your ends.

Voilà! You’ve now finished your Coastal Shores Sweater!
